3/22-3/30 highlights

3/22 - Get-together at Nate and Emily's. Bug Catcher Caspian wants to fight!

3/23 - Backyard progress. It took me almost half a decade to get it to a reasonable place, and dad never lets me hear the end of it. He's an excellent project manager though, and I wish I had even a quarter of the motivation about these types of projects that he does.

3/23 - Last year we had a hummingbird build her nest on our string lights. Half a year after the baby hummers left the nest, the rain during the winter melted away her nest. Around spring of this year, our spanish lavender began to bloom, and moments after I noticed a hummingbird was fly toward one of the bushes, I looked up and noticed a nest in almost the same place! I like to think it's the same one, and she found the living situation to be at least 4⭐ on whatever the bird equivalent of Airbnb is. I should fulfill my responsibilties as a superhost and refill her feeder this week. Meanwhile, inside the house, another animal is peacefully counting down the days before her little brother arrives.

3/24 - Kings lost (again) to the Celtics. This photo made it all worth it though.

3/27 - Took Amber and Hudson to see the Kings rout the Trailblazers. That's the beam on both of our foreheads.

3/30 - Beautiful day at Ruhstaller Farm in Dixon, CA. welcoming Billy and Katie's player 3.

I'm going to experiment a little bit with how I want to handle updates. It's been difficult deciding how frequently I'm going to write new entries, but after mulling it over I think I'd like to at least some highlights from my phone's photo reel on a weekly cadence. While it is a little frustrating that Ghost's galleries have a limitation of 9 photos, the reasoning behind the decision is logically sound, and simultaneously helps me narrow down the decision-making process.
